COP ’26

Back

Professor Clare Grey, Co-Founder and CSO at Nyobolt attended the COP ’26: Decarbonisation Summit with GreenTV, for a panel discussion on Science, Innovation and Technology.

With the Paris Agreement, signed in 2015, nearly 200 nations submitted their plans to reach net-zero emission by 2050

The decarbonization of transport, with a large focus on electric vehicles (EVs), plays a significant role in this transition to net-zero. An imminent surge in uptake of electric vehicles also raises many questions about the future challenges we are likely to face as a result. These include sustainability of the battery supply chain from mining impacts to vehicle carbon emissions, as well as questions centred around charging infrastructure, economic viability, and battery technology, where issues of weight, power density, charge-time and range are paramount.
