Nyobolt’s fast-charge system solutions reduce charge time for autonomous mobile robots (AMRs) operating in ambient, refrigerated, and freezer warehouses from minutes to seconds, meaning a significant increase in robot uptime and fewer robots needed in the fleet. Our technology enables AMRs to complete a number of pick-and-place operations with rapid recharge cycles, supporting 24/7 warehouse operations.
- Can Nyobolt batteries work in electric vehicles?
Yes, Nyobolt demonstrated a sub-5 minute charge in its EV in 2024, and is in a number of commercial discussions with major automakers about adopting its technology in their EV line-up.
- What are the benefits for material handling equipment?
Ultra-fast charging combined with longer battery lifespan means improved productivity and reduced system costs, with ultra-fast charging times providing a threefold increase in uptime. This reduces fleet size requirements and maximizes operational efficiency in logistics operations.
- What is Nyobolt’s Dynamic Response System for AI data centers?
Nyobolt’s Dynamic Response System (DRS) is a high-power fast-response energy storage system designed for the OCP Open Rack V3 Power Infrastructure. The DRU delivers both peak shaving and battery backup capabilities in a single 1OU unit, specifically engineered to handle the extreme power demands of AI data centers. With its breakthrough 2-in-1 technology, the DRU can respond to power transients in less than 1ms at ~10A/us slew rate while providing 90 seconds of backup power.
- How does the DRS handle GPU power transients in AI workloads?
The DRS is specifically designed to manage GPU power transients that are extremely variable and can surge 10X during AI training workloads. Unlike traditional UPS systems or generators that suffer mechanical wear from cyclic AI peak loads, Nyobolt’s DRS can handle over 25,000 cycles without degradation. The system smooths transient loads while maintaining rack-level power conditioning, preventing damage or power loss during compute-intensive operations.
- What ROI can warehouses expect from AMR upgrades?
Warehouses implementing Nyobolt’s fast-charging batteries in AMR fleets can expect ultra-fast charging capabilities (5-10 minutes) that provide a threefold increase in robot uptime, allowing warehouses to reduce their fleet size by up to 30-40% while maintaining the same operational capacity. This translates to significant cost savings on robot acquisition, maintenance, and charging infrastructure.
- How do fast-charging batteries reduce total warehouse automation costs?
Traditional LFP batteries require 30-60 minutes of charging downtime, forcing warehouses to purchase larger robot fleets or invest in extensive charging infrastructure. Nyobolt’s 5-minute charging eliminates this bottleneck, reducing the total cost of ownership through fewer robots needed, reduced charging station requirements, and minimized operational disruptions. Case studies show warehouses achieving 20-30% reduction in automation CAPEX while improving throughput.
- How do Nyobolt batteries support grid-forming applications?
Nyobolt batteries excel in grid-forming applications due to their ability to provide rapid response (<1ms) and high cycle life (25,000+ cycles) essential for maintaining grid stability.
